Future of Islamic World, region depends on Iran

The Head of Iran’s Islamic seminaries attended the third scientific conference on the statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran on Thursday in which he said, “The first step of the Islamic Revolution was successfully completed despite all the hardships, problems and thanks to the sacrifices, but the second step is more difficult, more sensitive and valuable.”

Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of the Iran’s Islamic Seminary made some remarks on Thursday, July 29, at the third scientific conference on the statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution, held at the ideological and political organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During his speech he first expressed condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam al-Javad (PBUH) and said, “The statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution can be studied and analyzed from different aspects. This statement paves the way for the revolution.”

The director of the Iran’s seminaries added, "After the renaissance in Europe, when the West underwent extensive changes, the backwardness of the Islamic world caused an uprising that tried to compensate and manifest it in a new form; However, many of these uprisings, movements and revolutions in the Islamic world failed and they never had a chance to expand. These failures were due to the fact that they did not have a proper theory and ideological background.”

The senior Shia scholar added, "Another reason why these movements did not achieve their desired goals was that they could not resolve the dilemmas instilled in them by the West and answer questions and contradictions facing them.”

Ayatollah Arafi further noted, “The art of the Iranian Islamic Revolution was to solve the challenges and issues that had caused the defeat for previous movements in the Islamic world.”

The head of the Iranian Islamic seminaries asserted, “The first step of the Islamic Revolution was successfully completed despite all the hardships, problems and thanks to the sacrifices carried out by many people, but the next step is more difficult, more sensitive and more worthwhile. Today, the future of the Islamic World as well as the region depends on the Iranian nation.”

"The hearts of Muslims around the world are full of love for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and they admire our resilience," he added.

In the end, Ayatollah Arafi concluded by saying that our mission in the second step of the Islamic Revolution is the measures emphasized by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in his statement that must be achieved and we will definitely move towards clear horizons."
